Connie Umbenhower

Chief Executive Officer and President

Connie Umbenhower helps set and shape the overall direction and vision of the corporation, oversees the strategic planning, development, and execution of initiatives in the core focus areas of the organization, and collaborates with the local communities to achieve the greatest impact of the services that are provided.

Connie has a degree in computer science, starting out as a technical services engineer before moving into IT project management. Before leaving her last position as the Director of the Project Management Group at FusionOne in San Jose, Connie was the Director of the Implementations Engineering Group at CenterBeam, an IT infrastructure service provider in San Jose.

In 2008 Connie left the corporate world and using her knowledge and love for the Northeastern hills of India, became an entrepreneur and founded Himalayan Boot Camp, a company that focuses on vacation getaways to the Himalayan foothills of India and Bhutan. More recently Connie founded Visions for Villages, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping some of the rural communities in these foothills where she was raised.


Subhash Tantry

Director, Organizational Development

Subhash advises the leadership team on tactical and strategic planning, provides guidance and recommendations on organizational development, and creates opportunities for business relationship building so the corporation can spread awareness of its programs and services to further accomplish its goals.

Subhash is currently the CEO of Fox Technologies, Inc. He brings more than 30 years of experience in software engineering, consultancy and executive management. In addition to completing the Executive Management Program at Stanford University, he is a Distinguished Alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and has been a founding member of the Board of Directors of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund. He also holds US Patents in software architecture, applications and techniques, with his most recent patents being awarded in 2004. He is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE), is a mentor at TiE and was a convener for TiECON 2006.


Destiny Marshall

Secretary and Treasurer

Destiny provides critical support to the CEO on strategic marketing communications and building awareness of the focus of the organization and the needs of the rural communities in India. Destiny also oversees the financial planning and accounting of the corporation.

Destiny Marshall is an attorney licensed in the State of California. Destiny holds a B.A. in Political Science from San Jose State University and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. Destiny has a deep interest in the region of Meghalaya in Northeastern India where she has traveled to on numerous occasions and has a strong desire to make a positive and meaningful impact to the communities we help in the region.

Kirk Bennett

Marketing and Business Development

Kirk offers advice to the executive team in the areas of marketing and business development, assists with strategy and best practices for results; all designed to assist the organization in achieving its goals for fundraising and brand awareness.

Kirk is the founder of On Point Business Advisors, offering a blend of strategic consulting and coaching to small and midsized companies in the form of hands on assistance and coaching. With more than two decades of successful experience in managed services, IT outsourcing, telecommunications and software service industries, Kirk delivers in support of strategic imperatives while executing tactically for immediate results. Prior to launching On Point Business Advisors in 2008, Kirk invested in and served as VP Sales, Distribution & Alliances for GoldMail, Inc. and continues as an ambassador for the company. Prior to that he served as Regional VP Sales and Director of Sales in the IT Outsourcing market at CenterBeam and Siemens IT Services.  He has also served as VP of sales at MCI, ReFlex and USOne.
